Questions Worth Answering First
Do I need accounting software already?
No. If you are on accounting software, on spreadsheets, or have not started at all, say so on the form. Setting the books up correctly is one of the six services. Doing it right now costs less than fixing books built on the wrong structure later.
My books are years behind. Is that a problem?
It is one of the most common reasons people get in touch. Catch-up work brings the missing months current and reconciled. We quote it as a fixed project once we know what is missing, and monthly service takes over from there.
Do you do my taxes?
No. Equipped is not a tax firm and does not file returns, run payroll, or file sales tax. What we do is keep the books in a state your tax preparer can work from without a fight.
Do you work with businesses outside California?
Yes. Equipped works with owner-led service businesses in all 50 states, and the work is remote.
